Saturday's Jamboree was a great success. Thanks to Ken Johns and the rest of the Napa organization for hosting a well-run event.

We had a tremendous turnout for our coaches meeting last Saturday at Sinaloa Middle School. Thanks to Tony Anello from San Marin for organizing the meeting. It was great having our guest speakers Travis Brackett (head coach of Novato High School), Mazi Moayed (defensive coordinator for Marin Catholic), and Ken Peralta (head coach of Marin Catholic).

The first day of practice is this Monday, July 28th. Every association should be addressing the following administrative issues:

1. Background checks are required for every volunteer in your organization who is in contact with athletes. All background check forms can be found by clicking on the menu item "Documents" and then "Background Checks" at the top of this page. If you haven't already done so, please submit an Association Roster as soon as possible. Send it to adirector@SouthernMarinFootball.com.
2. The template for the player card is now available. All registration document templates can be found by clicking on the menu item "Documents" and then For Registration. You should start building your Team Roster Spreadsheet for each team. It will be used for the mail merge that creates the player roster cards.
3. Don't forget to weigh all of your athletes at the start of practice on Monday. We agreed as a conference that the initial weight for each athlete should be no more (or less) than 6 lbs. over (or under) their team's weight allowance.
